Sport news are not as attractive as the athletes to female students.

Indera Mahkota - 53 respondents were female students of KPMIM favour international and regional news rather than sport news section, according to a survey conducted last week.

According to the survey, female students are not attracted to watch sport news due to lack of interest. To add on, sports is not one of their passion as a student. Focusing more on current issues from international news and regional news are going to be helpful for updating themselves with current issues.

International and regional news are touching more on the news from various aspect from all over the world. The news that are happening currently and familiar to the people will make them more alert and updated with current issues. However, sport news is a seasonal news. A very famous sport event will be the hottest issues of the day and that does not happen frequently.

“I don’t really watch sports news because its only important for people who are doing sport while when I watch international or regional news, I can know what is the current issues from all over the world”, a comment from one of the female respondents that have been interviewed after the survey.

To add on, a quirky respond by a respondent, “I watch sport news sometimes to see the athletes.”
