PUTRAJAYA: Most parents who refuse to vaccinate their children are those who live in the cities and are highly educated, said Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. S. Subramaniam today. “The ministry has detected nearly 1,600 children who did not get vaccinated last year and this figure is increasing every year”. By Bernama - July 28, 2017 @ 11:37 p.m. Why do you think this is happening, what are the arguments for the refusal of vaccination.

Well-Educated parents could be the main problem of the movement to believe that vaccination is bad for our children. According to Fentiman (2017), rich people have their own beliefs and views on the good and the bad sides of vaccinations could be determined by their own choices. As highly educated and rich parents have too much free time to read articles and doing their own research about how bad vaccination could affect someone is also one of the factors. The numbers are increasing every year because they are very influential, with money and power people could easily believe them. For them, the environment that they build their family is also safer than the rest and the belief that diseases could not easily pass through their household. To add on, anti-vaccine also believe that vaccination is a concern as their babies immune system is not strong enough to take in all of the chemical substances. With research and a lot more deeper reading, all of those statements could be argued.

Nevertheless, the are a lot more bad outcomes rather than the good ones if they ignore vaccination. One of them is the most important one, it could save your child's life. Hundreds of years ago, some of the diseases that we face right now used to be the reason of death among children, and now with the advance of scientific research and technology, we provide better medicine that can absolutely prevent us from having those diseases. Other than that, to counter-arguments about the danger of vaccines is that it is totally saved to vaccinate your children. The after effect or any radiation that comes from the vaccine is totally minimum (vaccines.gov, 2018). Vaccination is not something that is given without further agreements between researchers and doctors. It should be something that people should never doubt.
