GRAMMAR CHECKER: A MUST OR A NEED?

Living life as students: writing essays, doing reports, emailing lecturers, and other tasks that require students to write on a daily can be a little difficult and overwhelming in seeking perfection. They can't help but find a tool or Artificial Intelligence (AI) that could help them be at ease and not worry about how they are writing. Having excellent grammar, correct punctuation, or have sentences that don't seem too wordy might be a problem for some people. Inventors all over the world have created a fantastic tool, casually known as a grammar checker. In today's blog, I'll be focusing on Grammarly; this highly advertised grammar checker tool attracts its users over its functions.

Grammarly, a grammar checker, is widely known for its use to correct people's grammar, just like their name. There is no shame in admitting that sometimes we make mistakes in writing, even when English is our first or second language. Grammarly provides the users with a free grammar checker to correct them in terms of simple grammar mistakes, punctuation, or words that need to be omitted. Without paying for the premium account, students can still use it as it still provides them insight into what they can improve. The way to use Grammarly is effortless. Users only need to paste their work, and within a few seconds, it will underline those words or sentences that need to be polished. If it's underlined with red, it might be a grammar mistake or a punctuation mistake. The sentence might be too wordy or in passive/active voice when it's underlined with blue lines. It also asks the users to choose what type of work they have been doing, whether it's professional, casual, or other options. Grammarly also provides its users with a plagiarism checker. Overall, Grammarly is a wonderful grammar checker tool. It functions very well and gets to what the users need in the shortest amount of time.

The reason why I choose this grammar checker is that it has been beneficial for me. I haven't been using it for so long, but Grammarly has given me exposure to the way I write, even during a short amount of time. It then somehow pushes me to write better and acknowledge my weakness in writing. So, is a grammar checker tool a need or a must? To answer this question, when it's functional and could save people a lot of time, it's beneficial. At last, the only thing that matters is how people use what others have provided for their maximum performance.
